Features: In the era of the booming knowledge economy, topics such as clothing, food, housing, transportation, healthcare, well-being, tourism, and entertainment have increasingly become indispensable and closely integrated components of daily life. In these fields, for our enthusiasts, translation professionals, international friends who admire Chinese culture and diligently study Chinese, as well as young scholars, possessing a wealth of relevant English and Chinese vocabulary can enable them to "have everything in mind." When it comes to introducing situations or communicating in various settings, they can avoid the agony of "running out of words" while enjoying the pleasure of "seizing opportunities effortlessly." How delightful would that be!
In response to the above situation and in line with the demands of the times, we have planned and compiled this set of "English-Chinese and Chinese-English Common Vocabulary Books," consisting of six volumes: "Clothing and Fashion," "Diet and Culture," "Housing and Dwellings," "Public Transportation," "Tourism and Entertainment," and "Healthcare and Wellness." Each volume has its own unique features and can stand independently. However, when the volumes involve specialized content that overlaps, they can also connect and complement each other. The entire set contains approximately 2.1 million words and includes over 300,000 entries. Each volume has 350,000 words and contains over 50,000 entries. "English-Chinese and Chinese-English Common Vocabulary Book·Healthcare and Wellness" collects over 50,000 English-Chinese and Chinese-English entries, including common Western medical conditions, common traditional Chinese medical conditions, health and wellness practices, etc. The English-Chinese section is arranged in alphabetical order, while the Chinese-English section is first categorized and then arranged in pinyin order.
