Features: In flow measurement, selecting the appropriate flow measurement method and instrument for a specific measurement object is very important. In addition to analyzing the characteristics of the measurement object, it is necessary to understand the advantages, disadvantages, and applicable conditions of various measurement instruments to correctly select, design, install, and use them. This book is written to address the selection of flow measurement methods and instruments. The content of this book is roughly divided into three parts. Chapters 1 to 3 are basic knowledge. Chapters 4 to 16 introduce the working principles, representative structures, classifications, performance, advantages and disadvantages, and application ranges of currently commonly used flow instruments in China. A significant portion of the book discusses key considerations for selection and installation and usage precautions (this part of the content is what needs to be understood in advance when selecting instruments, different from the installation and usage instructions provided by instrument manufacturers). Chapters 17 to 21 summarize the selection methods and inspection of various instruments, including general selection principles, selection examples, on-site error estimation, common errors and preventive measures for various instruments, calibration devices and methods, as well as relevant standards and regulations. The appendix includes conversion of common units, physical property parameters of media, and data charts of the effects of upstream flow restrictors on flow measurement. The content of this book is practical and well-documented, making it a reference for design institutes, engineering companies, and on-site technical personnel when selecting flow measurement methods and instruments. It can also serve as a training manual or teaching reference book.
