Features: This book is divided into six volumes: Ancient, Medieval, Modern (Upper), Modern (Lower), Modern, and Contemporary. The history covered ranges from primitive society to the beginning of 1996. The Ancient volume is organized chronologically, with chapters dedicated to the history of different countries or regions based on the vertical historical development process. For countries after the 4th century BC, chapters are organized based on horizontal historical connections. The Medieval volume adopts a systematic approach that combines regional coverage with thematic topics. The Modern (Upper) volume primarily covers the British bourgeois revolution, the American War of Independence, the French Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, the Lyon and Silesian workers' uprisings in France and Germany, the British Magna Carta movement, the birth of Marxism, and the Second International, the Paris Commune, major capitalist countries in the late 19th century, and late 19th-century countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The Modern (Lower) volume primarily discusses the two World Wars after the human world entered the 20th century, the October Revolution in Russia that established socialist states, and the scientific and technological revolution that transformed human economic and social life, as well as their ideological concepts. The Contemporary volume is based on the analysis of various fundamental contradictions in the post-war world, reflecting the development process and characteristics of this interconnected yet contradictory unified whole. It also reflects the political, economic, military, scientific and technological, people's movements, and foreign relations of countries of all types, as well as their current status and future trends.
