Kazakh: Investigation of Bazhal Lake Le Village in Jimsar County, Xinjiang (Series of Chinese Ethnic Villages Survey)

Features: This survey was divided into five stages:
Stage 1: Comprehensive Household Survey. We conducted door-to-door surveys in 74 households in Bazhalu Lake Village, filling out questionnaires in detail and with care.
Stage 2: Thematic Interviews. Based on the findings from Stage 1 and the individual topics assigned to team members, members conducted in-depth thematic interviews with typical villagers and families.
Stage 3: Thematic Workshops. Five concentrated workshops were organized for village cadres, capable individuals, youth, women, and elders.
Stage 4: Pastoral Area Survey. We visited pastoralists from Bazhalu Lake Village, who were staying in the summer pastures of Sawer Mountain, 3 rooms away.
Stage 5: Data and Material Collection. In the final stage of the survey, we collected a large amount of literature and data from archives, statistics, local history, and ethnic and religious departments at the township, county, and regional levels. Additionally, we visited several elderly individuals in the county and township who were familiar with the history of Bazhalu Lake Village.
