7. For each character, single-character entries are listed first, followed by two-character entries, and then three-character entries. The arrangement of two-character entries follows the stroke count of the second character, and the same principle applies to three-character entries.
8. If the original materials are extracted from variousbooks, the names of thebooks are listed under the corresponding entries for reference.
9. For easy retrieval, an index of stroke count for Zheng Xuan Dictionary entries is appended at the end of this book.
