Features: With the deepening reform of China's construction industry, the increasing perfection of the construction market, the widespread implementation of tendering and bidding systems and contract systems, as well as the requirements to align with international practices by joining the WTO, reforming the current "quantity-price integration" costing method of China's construction project cost and adopting the "quantity-price separation" — engineering bill of quantities (EBQ) pricing model has become imperative. To adapt to the need for market-based project cost formation in construction tendering and bidding competition and to meet the requirements of competitive pricing in tendering and bidding, the promotion of EBQ pricing has become a key measure in the current reform of project cost pricing in construction project development and contracting.
; To facilitate the study and implementation of the "Code for Engineering Bill of Quantities Pricing of Construction Projects" (GB50500-2003) and the "Interim Measures for National Decoration and Finishing Engineering Bill of Quantities Pricing" among a broad range of cost engineers and cost management personnel, the author has classified and compiled 802 frequently encountered, easily confused, or conceptually unclear issues in practical work of cost engineers. This has led to the writing of the book "Measurement and Pricing of Decoration and Finishing Engineering: A Q&A Guide," aimed at promoting discussions among peers on this pricing model.
; The book focuses not only on practicality but also incorporates theoretical and knowledge-based content, making its features include novel content, comprehensive material selection, clear references, broad topics, concise explanations, rigorous Q&A, succinct language, specific examples, and strong practicality. To aid readers in understanding and mastering the material, the book also includes relevant diagrams as needed, achieving the goal of "expressing through visuals" for clarity.
; In addition to serving as a reference for design, construction, construction, and construction bank personnel involved in the formulation and control of decoration and finishing engineering costs, the book is also suitable for cost audit, supervision, and consulting personnel.
