Features: This book is divided into two parts: the Upper Part and the Lower Part. The Upper Part, General Theory, is written by Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It systematically elaborates on the origin and development of Traditional Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine; describes the classification, naming, and characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine; and explains the key points of pathogenesis from six aspects: constitution, pathogenic factors, emotions, lifestyle, time, and region. It analyzes the basic pathogenesis of Traditional Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine diseases from four aspects: the struggle between pathogenic factors and vital Qi, imbalance of Yin-Yang and Qi-Blood, dysfunction of Zang-Fu organs, and transmission and transformation of syndromes. It focuses on the theory of syndrome differentiation and treatment in Traditional Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine, proposing the basic requirements for clinical syndrome differentiation, eight treatment principles for Traditional Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine diseases, namely: regulating overall balance, treating according to the cause of the syndrome, clarifying the primary and secondary aspects and urgency, grasping dynamic changes, adapting different methods and prescriptions, guiding the disease according to the syndrome and its trends, treating the disease before it occurs, and emphasizing adjustment and nursing. In terms of syndrome differentiation and treatment of Zang-Fu organ diseases, it first outlines the relationships between Zang-Fu organs, then describes the functions, syndromes, treatments, and clinical key points of Zang-Fu organs. In terms of syndrome differentiation and treatment of pathogenic factors, it outlines the meanings and scopes of external Six Evils and internal Six Evils, then describes the pathological characteristics, treatments, and clinical key points of the Six Evils. In terms of syndrome differentiation and treatment of phlegm-dampness and blood stasis, it outlines the meanings and scopes of phlegm-dampness and blood stasis, and describes their pathogenesis, treatments, and clinical key points from the perspectives of disease nature and location. The General Theory of this book is based on clinical practice, emphasizing a deep understanding of relevant Traditional Chinese Medicine theories. It is comprehensive and rich in content, expanding to some extent the of clinical syndrome differentiation and treatment in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and has high practical value and clinical guidance significance. The Lower Part, Specific Theory, covers eight systems and 77 disease types. During the writing process, collaboration and division of labor were adopted. The overview section includes concepts, definitions, characteristics, and explanations; the historical evolution section introduces the historical development of the disease, selecting representative academic works and figures in accordance with historical order from ancient times to the present as evidence for concise elaboration from the perspectives of medical theory and treatment methods. Additionally, the appendix includes commonly used prescriptions and main reference books in Traditional Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine, providing rich and practical content for clinical reference.
