Features: Beijing Poetry Society is a registered social organization with legal representation. Its superior business administrative department is the Propaganda Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China. Administrative and business leadership are under the Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau and the Beijing Federation of Literature and Art. It is a group member of the Chinese Poetry Society. Established in March 1988, its purpose is to unite its members and poetry friends to promote traditional Chinese poetry culture, promote the main melody of the era, inspire national rejuvenation, cultivate people's moral character, and promote the spiritual civilization construction of the capital. Beijing Poetry Society is headquartered in Beijing. Beijing is the capital of our socialist China and also a world-famous historical and cultural city. With a long history, splendid culture, and a gathering of famous figures, it is today the most virtuous area in the country, blessed with outstanding people and talents. In modern times, many poets have written a large number of new poems, composing the splendor of the era; while numerous masters and authors have used traditional poetic forms to play the symphony of the new era, radiating the brilliant colors of traditional culture. The Society now has more than 30 poetry clubs, with nearly a thousand members and correspondence members. Under the favorable conditions of "heavenly timing, geographical advantage, and human harmony," Beijing Poetry Society carries out its work and activities. In recent years, these works and activities have been summarized into four persistences: First, adhering to the "serving the people and serving the revolution" direction and the "," principle, promoting the main melody. Second, adhering to unity as the main principle, seeking common ground while reserving differences, avoiding tedious and meaningless debates. Third, adhering to a combination of popularization and improvement, with large-scale academic reports, serial lectures, and tutorial courses. Fourth, adhering to poetry club activities as the main focus, supplemented by unified activities of the Society, giving full play to dual enthusiasm. Annually, in line with the requirements of the situation, it carries out some major or commemorative poetry activities; holds pioneering poetry seminars for middle-aged and young people; respects tradition while emphasizing poetry reform, promoting and popularizing the use of new tones and rhymes; and passionately engages in the "Beijing-based, loving Beijing, writing about Beijing, praising Beijing" campaign. It has purposefully and systematically compiled and published several influential poetry collections, such as "Selected Poems of the War of Resistance," "Contemporary Poems on Beijing," and "Ten Years of Beijing Poetry."
