We are grateful to Comrade Lu Hui-li for collecting President Peng's speech drafts, arranging, and inputting them, for her hard work. We hope this book will benefit the in reviewing their work experience since the "Seventh Congress" and in earnestly studying some major issues affecting the development of the Red Cross cause, promoting the advancement of China's Red Cross Society. It will also help the public and various sectors better understand the Red Cross cause in China. This book includes speeches by President Peng Peiyun during her five years as President of the China Red Cross Society at various important conferences and major events, opinions she expressed during research, work research reports formed under her guidance, reports on visits and inspections, as well as letters and comments related to Red Cross work. It reflects the progress of China's Red Cross cause, addresses some major issues in its development, summarizes the basic experience in doing Red Cross work in the new era, and holds significant guiding significance for the future work of the China Red Cross Society.
