Features: This book primarily includes basic terms and phrases frequently encountered in the textile field that hold practical value in retrieval work, capable of gathering a certain volume of literature or possessing combinatorial significance. At the same time, to meet the future development needs of the textile industry, it also appropriately selects terms and terminology that are currently not frequently used but belong to new technologies and align with development trends. Generally, scientific names or standardized language is adopted (based on national standards and the announcements of the National Natural Science Terminology Committee). If there is a dispute over the standardized name of a term, both are included. Certain terms or professional vocabulary, though not standardized, have been widely used in the textile industry for a long time and are appropriately included for ease of retrieval. Some terms have multiple names and lack standardization, so they are included in parallel. This glossary does not intend to establish its own standards.
