Features: "Introduction to Calligraphy Lectures" series. In this series of calligraphy books, the analytical approach and quantitative awareness demonstrated by the editor actually align with the era goals we are vigorously promoting, the "Scientific Learning Perspective." The Hong Nengren brothers of Taiwan's Huifeng Tang Publishing House, as the organizers and advocates of this introductory teaching material, have invested significant time and effort. Meanwhile, Xiling Seal Society is preparing to launch this series in mainland China, and of course, with relatively thorough consideration. As early as fifteen years ago, my book was published by Taiwan's Huifeng Tang. Teaching and learning calligraphy with a subject-oriented approach should prioritize the promotion of the scientific learning perspective. Its characteristics should be based on fully respecting the importance of sensory experience, intuition, inspiration, and practical experience accumulation in art learning (which has long been a part of traditional calligraphy learning) while also emphasizing the modern scientific qualities of formal teaching, such as critical thinking, rationality, logical analysis, and the design of systematic and step-by-step processes. In universities, the focus is on scientific "teaching method training." At the introductory stage, the emphasis is on the same "analytical and inductive" approach that pursues excellence. Furthermore, even in arts like calligraphy, music, painting, and dance, what can be measured and quantified during creative work and performance—this is precisely the premise for establishing a scientific perspective on art learning. In a sense, the difficulty of a calligrapher engaged in introductory education is no less than that of a calligraphy professor engaged in professional research. And a calligraphy teacher in a youth palace—if he truly treats children's calligraphy teaching as a discipline—his capabilities are no less than those of a university's doctoral supervisor.
