Features: Tibet is a national autonomous region with significant characteristics in natural conditions, as well as in economy and culture. The masses inside and outside the autonomous region need an objective understanding and a comprehensive re-evaluation of Tibet. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Tibet Autonomous Region, we compiled and published this "Atlas of the Tibet Autonomous Region." Its purpose is to showcase the glorious achievements and great progress made in Tibet since its peaceful liberation over the past 40 years through the unique medium of maps, helping people gain a comprehensive, objective, and detailed understanding of Tibet's current situation, and providing an image-based recognition of the overall picture of Tibet as well as its various prefectures and counties. This atlas serves not only as an important reference tool for leaders at all levels of the autonomous region but also as the best book and guide for people from all walks of life to understand Tibet and visit it for tourism. The atlas consists of one map of the administrative divisions of China, three maps of the Tibet Autonomous Region, one map of the Lhasa city area, and 74 maps of prefectures and counties. It provides a relatively detailed representation of the administrative divisions, water systems, residential areas, transportation networks, and tourist attractions within the autonomous region. Each map is accompanied by textual descriptions, focusing on introducing the origins of county names, changes in administrative divisions, topography and climate, major disasters, natural resources, current transportation, economic conditions, local specialties, urban construction, and scenic spots in Tibet.
