Features: This book is one of the "Learn Tai Chi by Pictures Series," compiled to meet the needs of the general public for physical exercise, enrich the content of Tai Chi, and improve technical skills. The former State Physical Culture and Sports Commission (now the General Administration of Sport of China) organized experts in 1979 to revise the "24-Form Tai Chi" as the foundation. The book consists of six parts: How to Learn Tai Chi from Pictures, Introduction to the 48-Form Tai Chi, Action Names of the 48-Form Tai Chi, Illustrations for Learning and Practicing the 48-Form Tai Chi, Schematic Diagrams of the Action Routes of the 48-Form Tai Chi, and Key Points for Improving the 48-Form Tai Chi. The action routes in this book use dashed lines to indicate the upper and lower limb movements on the left side of the body and solid lines to indicate the upper and lower limb movements on the right side. The endpoint of the upper and lower limb routes shown in each action illustration is the starting point for the upper and lower limbs in the next illustration. This set of Tai Chi has increased both the number of movements and the difficulty level. The entire set of movements is compact, smooth, and natural, with an emphasis on symmetrical left and right practice, making it highly valuable for physical fitness. Through over 200 clear photographs of Tai Chi movements, the book vividly and continuously demonstrates the process of each move in the 48-Form Tai Chi. The practitioners in the book are martial arts experts from physical education universities, whose movements are standard, precise, and well-executed.
