Features: E-commerce refers to various business activities conducted using modern information technology and computer networks. As a form of business activity, e-commerce undoubtedly should be subject to traditional legal norms and fall under the jurisdiction of the existing judicial system. However, the use of computer and internet technologies has brought about significant changes in business activities, making some rules of traditional law difficult to apply directly or rendering them meaningless, while also giving rise to new issues that require new laws to address. These legal norms that regulate e-commerce constitute e-commerce law, and the discipline that studies it is known as e-commerce jurisprudence. Since the adoption of the United Nations' "Model Law on Electronic Commerce" in 1996, e-commerce legislation and jurisprudence research have become a global focus. Although in some developed countries, such as the United States, related research has already reached a certain scale and formed a systematic framework, there is still no consensus today on what constitutes the scope of e-commerce law and what can be considered research objects of e-commerce jurisprudence. Similarly, in China, e-commerce law has primarily focused on the transplantation and introduction of foreign legislation, with little in-depth research on its fundamental theories and systems. This book is a comprehensive treatise on e-commerce law, divided into three parts: Part I, Foundations of E-commerce Law, which primarily discusses what e-commerce law is, the legal responsibilities of websites, and the entities involved in e-commerce; Part II, Basic Legal Systems of E-commerce, including the legal system for electronic messages, the legal system for digital signature authentication, and the legal regulation of electronic contracts and different types of online transactions; Part III, Related Legal Issues of E-commerce, which mainly covers consumer protection, personal data protection, unfair competition, legal remedies, and other closely related legal issues to e-commerce. This book is suitable as a textbook for undergraduate and graduate students in e-commerce, MBA students, and senior undergraduate students in economics and management majors. It is also suitable for managers and IT personnel in various departments of enterprises, as well as for use as a teaching material in e-commerce training programs at corresponding levels.
