Features: "The Erhu Master's Guidance" is composed of three parts: beginner, intermediate, and advanced, suitable for players of different levels and abilities. The selection of pieces in "The Erhu Master's Guidance" is based on three considerations:
First, practicality. Among the vast number of erhu pieces, the author has selected those with significant training value based on years of teaching experience. The beginner volume mainly focuses on standardizing erhu playing techniques, particularly in the foundational training of bowing and soft stringing, and serves as an effective training tool. The intermediate volume is designed to train players in traditional pieces, as well as in various regional styles, musical flavors, and different techniques. The advanced volume aims to develop musical depth and high-level techniques, requiring players to not only have a deep understanding and accurate grasp of the pieces but also to possess proficient playing skills to achieve a perfect combination of both.
Second, listenability.
Third, representativeness. "The Erhu Master's Guidance" provides necessary hints, explanations, and points to note for each piece. To facilitate players' learning and use, all pieces in the book are accompanied by CD recordings. Additionally, some unpublished accompaniment scores and alternative versions of accompaniment scores are also provided to the audience.
