Features: The development of any discipline is inseparable from the development of related practical work. Since the reform and opening-up, especially in establishing the socialist market economy system, under the leadership of the Party, the Communist Youth League and youth work have consistently adhered to Deng Xiaoping Theory and the Important Thought of "Three Represents," as well as the Marxist view of youth. Whether in youth ideological education, youth participation, youth development, youth affairs, or youth organizations, and in terms of work approaches, methods, and operational mechanisms, pioneering explorations have been carried out, yielding solid and tangible results. The development of youth work and the Communist Youth League has provided broad space and a driving force for the deepening of theoretical research in youth work. This book mainly collects some of the author's recent works since 1997, supplemented by a few previously uncollected short articles, and is logically divided into nine chapters. Gathering these "scattered pieces" aims to contribute further to the scientific advancement of youth work and the enrichment of youth studies. If it can benefit the growth of youth in the new century and the development of youth work, that would be a great achievement.
Reviewing this book, one can see that the author's research has always been in step with youth, always aligned with youth work. It is precisely this valuable spirit of inquiry and rigorous academic approach that continuously provides rational support for promoting the development of youth work and infuses new vitality into the discipline of youth studies.
