Features: This revision has significantly strengthened and innovated both the content and the writing system of the textbook. First, it greatly enriches and expands the textbook content, making it better reflect the overall picture of Asian and African literature and embody the spirit of the times. At the same time, to adapt to the development of objective circumstances and the requirements of the era across the century, major adjustments have been made to the textbook's writing format, primarily changing the original country-based review method in dedicated chapters to a region-based approach. During this revision process, we have placed equal emphasis on exploring Eastern literary theories and delving into the ideological content of works, as well as analyzing their artistic achievements and characteristics. We have equally valued the academic and knowledge-based nature of the textbook, as well as its accessibility and practicality, striving for a concise format with brief, clear text that balances detail and focus. Although the content of the entire book has increased compared to the original, the increase in length is minimal. Among the more than 60 writers and works included in dedicated sections, 20 are highlighted. Additionally, to help students and master and understand the ideological content and artistic achievements of the works listed in the dedicated sections of the textbook, we have also compiled a supplementary textbook titled "Selected Readings of Asian and African Literary Works" for university reading or self-study reference.
