Features: Everything should have been peaceful and tranquil. But the warm east wind, like continuous thunder in the distance, carried the rumbling sound of German cannons. The Germans had reached the French coast, the King of Belgium had surrendered, and the British Expeditionary Force and their commander, Sir Gothic, were trapped at Dunkirk, with the raging sea behind them. The news on the radio made Inspector Millon unhappy. Those about a planned strategic withdrawal, talking about how our troops were in high spirits, how many German tanks were destroyed by French 75mm guns, and so on. The news in the newspaper also displeased him, with photos of British soldiers giving thumbs-up and grinning. In the early days of World War II, the Germans had once fiercely wanted to cross the English Channel and conquer Britain. The shadows of war hung over the British Isles, and in the midst of the crisis, a lost cat roamed through the frontline observation posts, military camps, and train station supply depots. Strangely, wherever it went, it brought luck to the people there. This magical cat would appear suddenly and disappear just as quickly. No one knew where it came from or where it went, but they only remembered it was called Sir Gothic.
