Features: The powertrain systems of modern armored vehicles mainly include the gun/equipment power transmission system (abbreviated as tank gun control system) and the armored vehicle electric drive system (also known as tank electric drive). These armored vehicle powertrain systems employ DC speed regulation technologies such as motor amplifiers and pulse width modulation (PWM), or AC speed regulation technologies like sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) and vector control to form speed regulation systems, achieving the adjustment of gun aiming speed and vehicle movement speed. They also constitute servo systems to ensure the gun can always track the target during vehicle movement, known as the gun stabilization condition. The adjustment range for vehicle movement, especially gun aiming speed, is very wide, with a speed regulation ratio reaching the order of 103. In DC speed regulation, motor armature control is primarily used, while in AC speed regulation, permanent magnet synchronous motor SPWM control or vector control is adopted, supplemented with weak field speed regulation control when necessary. Typically, the stabilization accuracy of the gun is expressed in mils, and the gun servo system requires extremely high response speed. Tank guns usually need to combine both aiming and stabilization conditions, so the tank gun control system is often a variable-structure dual-loop control system. The content of this book primarily focuses on analyzing and researching the principles of modern armored vehicle powertrain systems and the methods for engineering design, while also considering the future development of powertrain technology and the need for further improvement in the electrical automation level of armored vehicles, as well as the increasing adoption of powertrain systems. This book can serve as a textbook for tank electrical engineering and automation majors and as a reference for related technical personnel.
