Features: To be honest, "Can I Hold Your Hand in My Senior Year" (hereinafter referred to as "Senior Year") is a web serial novel that I am passionate about reading. Usually, I am a person without patience, and if I do have interest, it's usually after a very long time, only to read it when the entire book is complete. I waited chapter by chapter for more than half a year, read it for half a year, and the charm of this novel is evident. I've also been thinking about what attracts me. I don't think it's the plot; this novel depicts university life, and the plot is quite simple. Nowadays, our palates are numb from being stimulated by many heart-wrenching plots, and those dark contents have also seeped into some campus culture, making it at least uncomfortable for me. Campuses should be simpler—they are a piece of pure land preserved since childhood. The plot of "Senior Year" is quite simple, just a love story between a few people. Of course, don't imagine it to be a storm of blood and thunder, or a tangled relationship that can't be untangled. It's not complex at all; its threads are as clear as drizzling rain, refreshing and concise. Simple but not monotonous, every page, even every sentence, has classic lines worth savoring. Huang Xiangzi interprets a campus that is super youthful and cool, one that is different from both of us, yet the life of senior year is so close, as if within reach. Due to concerns about piracy, "Senior Year" was not fully serialized online, and the wait for the book was long but full of anticipation. Seeing many friends online concerned about this book also brought me joy as if I had met kindred spirits. Finally, I heard that it would be published by Chunqiu Literature and Art Press, and it went on sale in early September. I couldn't wait to grab a copy to read the ending first. Now that I've finally seen the ending, I suddenly realized I was tricked a little. The "Water Fox," whom I really liked, turns out not to like "Xiangzi." Jingjing and Xiangzi are also heartbreaking, and it can't be said to be a bad ending, but there's still some regret. To be honest, I admire how Xiangzi managed to withstand the pressure of possible backlash from readers and refused to write a happy ending. It seems Huang Xiangzi is determined to be stingy to the end. I hope "Senior Year" can lead the book market to embrace a pure trend, provide some refreshing visual stimuli, and make minds more comfortable and hearts lighter. Friendly reminder: once you get the book, please never read it during serious meetings or in class, so you don't laugh out loud without realizing it—otherwise, the consequences are unthinkable. There's a place we always cherish, and there's a feeling called nostalgia. As the four years of university approach their final destination, at the very moment of departure, Xiangzi meets two beautiful women, and the life of senior year changes.
I'm in my senior year, can I hold your hand?
