Features: The Third-Level English exam is one of the necessary conditions for undergraduate adult higher education students to obtain a bachelor's degree. Since Beijing implemented this exam in 1991, the number of candidates has been increasing year by year. On April 20, 2003, the number of reported candidates had already exceeded 80,000. To adapt to the needs of the situation, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission organized relevant experts to revise the exam syllabus in February 2003, adding a new question type of English-Chinese translation. At the same time, it was decided to change the Third-Level English exam from an annual single session to two sessions per year, held in April and November respectively. It mainly includes the following content:
Part 1: The exam syllabus and revision notes.
Part 2: New exam regulations, aimed at helping candidates understand important matters such as reporting procedures, exam schedules, exam requirements, candidate instructions, and answer requirements.
Part 3: Test papers and analyses from 2000-2002, allowing candidates to familiarize themselves with the question types and difficulty levels of the Third-Level English exam, facilitating self-study.
Part 4: The Third-Level English vocabulary list. This revision adds 126 new words and 50 new phrases to the original vocabulary list of 3,447 words and phrases, bringing the total to 3,623 words and phrases, all of which are required for the Third-Level English exam. Candidates should master them thoroughly.
