Features: This book can serve as a teaching and experimental textbook for undergraduate and graduate students in the field of pulping and papermaking engineering (light industry engineering), as well as a reference for personnel engaged in production, technology, research, testing, and management in the pulp and paper industry and related fields. During the writing process, the book strives to be comprehensive, practical, advanced, and innovative. Therefore, the following features are reflected in the content and arrangement:
1. The chapter "Biological Structure and Fiber Morphology Observation of Papermaking Plant Fiber Raw Materials" collects and enriches analysis pictures and characteristic analyses of biological structures of fast-growing materials, grasses, and new papermaking raw materials (e.g., ramie) cultivated in China by domestic scientific and technological workers.
2. The chemical composition analysis of papermaking plant fiber raw materials and pulp is combined into one chapter, grouping the same analytical items together and supplementing some new analytical methods.
3. To align with the implementation of environmental protection regulations, the chapter "Analysis and Testing of Pulp and Papermaking Wastewater" is added, introducing China's current emission standards for papermaking industry wastewater and the analytical methods for major wastewater indicators.
4. Based on the increasing application of papermaking chemical auxiliaries in Chinese enterprises, the chapter "Analysis of Papermaking Chemical Auxiliaries" is added.
5. In the chapter "Application of Instrumental Analysis in the Pulp and Papermaking Industry," the scope of modern testing technologies covered is broader, the types of instrumental analysis are more diverse, and the analytical methods are updated to enable readers to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the practical applications of modern testing technologies.
6. According to reader suggestions, the preparation methods of standard solutions and general solutions are centralized and arranged in the appendix for easy reference, avoiding repetition of content across chapters.
