Property Rights and Institutional Change: A Study of China's Reform Experience

Author: Zhou Qiren
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2004-09-01
Features: All the papers included in this collection, except for one on research methods in economics, are based on the experience of China's reforms, studying the reform and transformation of the central planning economic system—public ownership property and government monopoly of the market. This has been the author's main focus of economic research for nearly 20 years. The author's academic research has always been closely linked to two types of choices: on the one hand, continuously observing the diverse choice behaviors of people under planned public ownership, and on the other hand, continuously selecting economic theories that can explain these behaviors. This "problem-driven" academic habit makes the optional academic traditions and theories relatively concentrated in the center.
