Features: This book focuses on the fundamental legal issues of financial groups. Based on revealing the connotation of financial groups and the trend of financial group formation, it conducts a comparative analysis of the legal systems and their development and changes regarding diversified business operations and regulation in financial groups of major financial markets in countries around the world. By deeply studying the political, economic foundations and the social, historical, and cultural backgrounds that have shaped and developed the basic legal systems of financial groups, the author aims to explore the general determinants of these legal systems. On this basis, combined with the actual conditions of China's financial industry, the book proposes some recommendations for the reform of China's financial industry separation legal system, as well as for financial group regulation and legislation. The author believes that in the face of the international trend of financial group formation, the diversification of business operations by Chinese financial institutions leading to the formation of financial groups is an inevitable trend, which will pose a significant challenge to China's existing financial regulatory legal system. To address this challenge, we should, on the premise of a comprehensive comparative analysis of financial group legal systems worldwide, learn from international experience and closely align with China's current economic, legal, and social environment. Starting with the establishment of a financial group company law, we should gradually build China's financial group legal system in the process of improving the legal framework for financial market development and regulation.
