Features: F12004 is the new book by Pan Yongyong, the commentator for Shanghai Television's F1 live program "Fast Fashion" and the host of the F1 column on the sports channel's broadcast frequency. The book is divided into two major themes: content related to F1 races and knowledge about F1 cars. The former includes the hosting of F1 in Shanghai, the history of F1, and classic race rivalries; the latter covers the structure, design principles, engines, and other aspects of F1 cars. Unlike the recent F1 "bibles" and "quick reference guides" flooding the market, this book is neither dull nor a mere compilation of second-hand materials that can be freely downloaded from the internet. It is also not a poor-quality work that merely expresses the author's personal opinions or even vents personal biases from a fan's perspective.
Pan Yongyong has been passionate about F1 for 20 years. He has served as a moderator on F1 forums for five years and has been explaining F1 on Shanghai Television for nearly two years. His online alias, "Polar Shrimp," is more well-known than his real name, making him a seasoned F1 enthusiast. However, he is not satisfied with this identity and has always been deliberate in accumulating all kinds of racing-related materials. He has published numerous articles about F1 in media such as the "Xinmin Evening News," "East Sports Daily," and "Sports Leisure." This book is a culmination of years of accumulation, where he has sifted through a vast number of professional books and rare first-hand technical materials to distill a comprehensive, objective, and personally insightful F1.
