Features: When it comes to mummies, people immediately think of Egypt. As one of the symbols of Egypt's mysterious culture, mummies have always been a focal point of attention, from ancient times to the present, from the superstitious medieval Europe to the technologically advanced today. Even today, the methods and substances used in mummy-making remain a mystery, and most have been lost with the disappearance of the beautiful ancient Egyptian civilization. Scientists can only analyze its possible ingredients based on a few surviving ancient medical books and mummies. The original meaning of "mummy" was the body of an ancient Egyptian wrapped in bandages. This is because the final step in the process of making a mummy in ancient Egypt was to wrap the body in linen cloth. After 2400 BC, Egyptian mummies were often carefully wrapped in linen bandages thousands of meters long. The longest linen bandage found for wrapping a body is currently over a kilometer long, so the mummies we see today are all protected in layers.
