Features: This manual is a guiding tool for testing and commissioning of relay protection and automation devices. With the advancement of science and technology, in addition to electromagnetic, rectifier, transistor, and integrated circuit products, a large number of microcomputer-based relay protection and automation devices with international advanced levels have emerged in secondary circuits and power system automation. Detection technology is continuously developing, and testing equipment is also being updated. As a result, new content and methods have been introduced into the testing of relay protection and automation devices. Based on the experience of product development, combined with the specifications for testing and inspection work in GB/T7261-2000 "Basic Test Methods for Relays and Devices," this manual has been compiled. The manual is divided into four parts: the first part introduces the basic knowledge and general testing methods for testing and inspection; the second part focuses on the content and methods for electrical performance testing of main equipment protection devices; the third part introduces the content and methods for electrical performance testing of transmission line protection devices; and the fourth part introduces the content and methods for electrical performance testing of automation devices. The testing methods for product inspection and testing introduced in this manual basically cover all relay protection and automation devices currently produced in China. This manual is a reference tool for engineering technicians engaged in quality certification, testing, commissioning, design, and manufacturing of power system relay protection and automation devices. It can also serve as a reference tool for on-site operation and commissioning technicians in secondary circuit operation departments of power systems, as well as for faculty and students of relevant majors in universities and colleges.
