Publish Date: 2003-01-01
Features: This book is available for teaching and research personnel in the fields of mechanics, materials science, as well as civil, transportation, mining, geotechnical engineering, and others. The numerical simulation software MFPA introduced in the book can also be used for supplementary teaching for graduate students in related fields. Starting from the mesostructure level of concrete, the book assumes that concrete is a three-phase composite material composed of a cement matrix, aggregates, and the bonding zone between them. It applies elastic damage theory to establish a constitutive relation and a numerical model for the analysis of fracture processes in concrete meso-units. Based on this, the numerical simulation software MFPAD for analyzing the failure process of materials was developed. The book presents simulation results of the fracture process of concrete under static loads, providing a numerical tool for the study of damage and fracture in quasi-brittle materials such as concrete.
