Fundamentals of Microwave Technology

Author: Yan Runqing

Publish Date: 2004-09-01
Features: This book is a revised edition of the second edition published in 1997. It primarily focuses on the fundamental theories, basic concepts, and analytical methods of engineering microwave technology, with particular emphasis on basic concepts and elaboration. The book, excluding the introduction and appendix, consists of seven chapters: Basic Theories of Transmission Lines, Regular Waveguides, Microstrip Transmission Lines, Optical Waveguides, Microwave Resonators, Common (Passive) Microwave Components, and Fundamentals of Microwave Networks. After revision, the chapters have undergone varying degrees of modifications, deletions, and additions, resulting in a more concise chapter structure, enriched content, clearer and more complete explanations, and greater ease of teaching and self-study. This book can serve as a textbook or reference for electronic and information engineering programs (specialties such as electromagnetic field and microwave technology, electronic engineering, information engineering, communication engineering, and applied electronic technology), adult higher education programs related to these fields, and can also be used as a reference for engineering technicians and self-learners. To help readers master problem-solving methods and steps, and to verify the correctness of their exercise results, a companion book titled "Solutions and Self-Assessment for Basic Concepts of Microwave Technology" (compiled by Shang Hongchen et al.) has been written, containing solutions to most of the exercises in this book. This companion book is published alongside "Fundamentals of Microwave Technology."
