Features: Illustrations have multiple and diverse positive effects on the world. Imagination is the ability to induce a sense of the world and form self-expression that is faithful to reality yet transcends it. Chen Weibang and Gong Shuo are book artists more appropriately described as practitioners of new-wave visual art. Among his peers, his rare realistic ability and the charm of his will create a unique style, bringing us unimaginable illusions. His works are imbued with the essence of the world and life, which is my evaluation of Chen Weibang's expressive art. He has also deeply studied the two cultures of China and Japan, which are distinct yet deeply interconnected, and continues to explore new realms of thought. He is acutely aware of and accepts the objective reality that the ideal is quite distant from the actual. On one hand, he deliberately expresses "thinking," and on the other, he meticulously depicts "dreams," attempting to merge and permeate them. It can be said that precisely because of this, Chen Weibang's illustrated books have become captivating masterpieces. Although his calligraphy is purely realistic, the writing is magnificent and colorful, soft yet firm. With Chen Weibang's rich imagination, he has composed a mesmerizing melody for the cultural exchange between China and Japan, and he will never stop. As a Chinese-Japanese calligrapher, Chen Weibang's name is increasingly attracting attention from the art circles and media of both China and Japan. His works have been awarded increasingly higher honors in various major exhibitions. In recent years, Chen Weibang has focused his creative themes on the series of "Humans and Nature." He will use his unique artistic language to interpret his understanding and aspirations for life, nature, and humanity.
