Features: This manual meets the needs of the socialist market economy system and is based on the actual conditions of our country. It takes the construction process of projects as the main thread, introducing the work objectives, procedures, and methods of owners, as well as their rights and obligations, through stages such as project establishment, fund raising, selection of supervisors, design, pre-construction, bidding and contracts, construction, completion, acceptance, documentation, taxation, post-evaluation, and information systems. The manual is highly practical and can serve as both a reference tool for owners in managing projects and a training textbook for project management personnel. It is also valuable for students and teachers in related fields of construction engineering, as well as for construction contractors and supervisory units.
To facilitate the use of the manual by a broader readership, at the author's suggestion, this reprint includes appendices prepared by the Beijing Construction Project Bidding Management Office, which were implemented and piloted in 1999 and 1998 respectively. These appendices include the "Beijing Construction Project Supervision Bidding Document" and the "Beijing Construction Project Construction Bidding Quantitative Evaluation Pilot Measures." The appendices are highly standardized and operational, offering significant reference value.
