Join world-class cartoon stars to solve mysteries with your brain and speak cool English. Hey, do you know Scooby-Doo and his four friends? They are famous American film and television stars and master detectives! Come join their team, experience thrills, develop skills, and gain wisdom with them! Besides solving cases, you can also learn authentic English—double benefits, double fun! This series adopts a unique English-Chinese parallel format, helping you learn English and cultural knowledge that you can't find elsewhere. I suggest you first read the English text, guessing along the way. It's okay if there are a few unfamiliar words; what matters is the plot and language feel. I believe you'll understand the gist! If you're still confused, you can always refer back to the annotations and translations. Some unfamiliar words in the original text are highlighted in red, and the corresponding "Word Explanations" section is provided on the opposite translation page. The words in the explanations are generally in the infinitive form of verbs and the singular form of nouns, even though they may appear in different forms or plural forms in the original text. Of course, irregular verbs and nouns that are hard to recognize will also be specially explained. To help you practice listening and experience the authentic English, I've even invited an American friend to record a vivid full-text audio recording. I believe that by repeatedly playing the audio CD attached to the book, your English listening skills will definitely improve, and you'll also feel more immersed in the story.
