Features: The main channel for implementing quality education is the classroom, and the main channel for students' learning is also the classroom. Striving for efficiency in the 45-minute classroom session, high-quality "synchronous exercises" should be an important part of assessing learning outcomes. To this end, we have organized a "Synchronous Unit Exercises Compilation Committee for New Textbooks in Primary and Secondary Schools" with well-known education and research personnel and frontline senior teachers from key primary and secondary schools. Based on the new textbooks of the People's Education Press, we have compiled this series of books. Its unique features are as follows:
1. This series of books is completely compiled according to the new curricula for all subjects in primary and secondary schools issued by the Ministry of Education and the new textbooks of the education press. The question types reflect the new information of the college entrance and high school entrance exams. The series is named "321," where the "3" represents "three new" — new curricula, new textbooks, and new question types.
2. The content of this series is fully aligned with the new textbooks. The format for each lesson (or unit) is as follows:
(1) Achieving Basic Knowledge and Skills in Class (basic knowledge, basic skills, basic attitudes, and basic abilities);
(2) Improving Comprehensive Abilities;
(3) Integrating, Expanding, and Innovating;
(4) Practice with New Middle School Entrance Exam (or High School Entrance Exam) Questions (relevant knowledge points from the middle school or high school entrance exams, with the primary school section replaced by interesting competition questions). It is clear from the above format that the two key points of quality education — innovation spirit and practical ability — are fully reflected. This is also the meaning of the "2" in "321."
3. Pursuing the synchronous development of knowledge and abilities, and striving for teaching aids that align with the spirit of quality education are our ideals. Reducing the workload for teachers and students is the principle behind compiling this series of exercises. A close look at the entire series reveals that each exercise is meticulously crafted, with a small but high-quality question volume. Teaching someone to fish is better than teaching them to fish, and teaching someone to "point stone to gold" is better than giving them gold. All of this is ultimately aimed at improving students' comprehensive qualities, which is also the meaning of the "1" in "321."
In this revision, some outdated questions have been replaced with exploratory, applied, and open-ended questions. All errors, omissions, and corrections have been thoroughly reviewed, significantly enhancing the originality and practicality of the series.
This series includes two subjects for primary school students — Chinese and mathematics — and nine subjects for junior and senior high school students — Chinese, mathematics, English, physics, chemistry, politics, history, geography, and biology. It can be used as in-class exercises, after-school assignments, or for parents to assist their children with learning and assessing their progress. The back of the book includes reference answers for students to check their work after completing the exercises.
