Features: Philosophy of science is an important branch of contemporary Western philosophy, as well as a relatively independent philosophical discipline. Many universities abroad offer such courses for students in the humanities and sciences, and China is no exception. Currently, scientific philosophy publications in China can be broadly divided into two categories: one belongs to the nature of the history of philosophy of science, and the other is an introduction to the philosophy of science. The major feature of this book is the combination of history and theory, basically absorbing the research achievements of the above two categories and making further developments and innovations. The author strives to avoid repeating the writing style of similar publications, presenting the research achievements of the philosophy of science at home and abroad in a completely new way. The book includes four main parts: the disciplinary nature of the philosophy of science, its historical development, basic topics, and related topics, broadly encompassing the main content of both the broad and narrow definitions of the philosophy of science. Of course, the book still focuses on the narrow definition of the philosophy of science, referring to similar textbooks or reading materials from universities abroad in this regard, paying attention to absorbing others' strengths. This book can be used as a teaching material in domestic universities. Additionally, the writing style of the book takes into account both the professional level and the needs of general readers, striving to make it as accessible as possible, especially in terms of bridging the gap between the humanities and sciences, where certain attempts and explorations have been made.
