Features: The term "inventory" in this series of books is likened to a merchant striking the abacus at the end of the year—joyful if profits are made, frowning if losses occur. However, this series of books faces a "global inventory" of the world economy, which naturally involves gains and losses, rises and falls, and the laws of prosperity and decline. Yet, it is far from being as simple as this. The complexity lies in two aspects. First, the "inventory" of the global economy is vastly different from the scale of a single business, even if that business is exceptionally large. The economic development levels, systems, and natural environments of different countries vary greatly, making it impossible to fully grasp them with a single abacus. Second, in the "inventory" of the global economy, gains and losses are often intertwined—gains contain losses, and losses contain gains. They cannot be simply explained with the words "gain" or "loss." Even if the gains and losses of the inventory are clarified, it is still necessary to analyze in detail where the gains and losses lie, with the aim of providing lessons or insights for the healthy development of the global economy in the new century. These two complexities are precisely the purpose of launching this series of books and the fundamental requirements for its writing.
