Features: Classics are the treasures left behind by time, portraying and annotating human nature. The significance of classics lies in their freshness with every reading, remaining an unchanging landscape on the bookshelves of readers. In the ever-changing flow of time and life, where nothing can be repeated, classics are the words, sounds, and expressions that have conquered time. Those sincere statements, those fearless shouts, and those reflections on the human spirit awaken our past hopes, inspire our present courage, and prevent us from being empty, vain, and skeptical of the future. The figures of these wise ones and their timeless words purify our souls, shake our spirits, and teach us what can be missed but never erased, and what is fleeting yet invaluable.
A springtime melancholy clung to Mei Li as she carefully powdered her face, dabbed on blush and lipstick, and a smug smile rose on her lips. She lazily raised her eyes, brimming with passion, and asked her companion beside her, "Do I look beautiful? Do I look young?"
"You're both young and beautiful. Let me kiss you!"
A young Fen, who was correcting students' English papers, lowered her red pencil and came over with a grin. "No, no, Young Fen is terribly ugly. Doing such a thing in front of so many people!" Mei Li blocked Young Fen's face with her hand, but as Young Fen lowered her head, Mei Li suddenly and forcefully kissed her forehead. In that crisp kiss, everyone in the room burst into laughter.
The bell rang for class to end, and Mei Li was already dressed. She walked gracefully to the coat rack, took down her new coat, draped it over her shoulders, and pulled the door handle with one hand. Turning back to her friends, she said "bye-bye" before slowly departing.
"Hey! Do you know where she's going?" Ai Yu asked as Mei Li left.
"I don't know," Mei Ling replied. "Don't you know?"
"How could I possibly know?" Ai Yu's face flushed.
"It's not your place to know, I just assumed you would," Mei Ling said coldly.
"Forget it, forget it. You don't know this, and you don't know that, only I know." Ah Han suddenly added.
"What do you know? Get lost!" Ai Yu seized the chance to excuse herself.
"It's nothing special. She's going to visit her lover at 180 Jing'an Temple," Ah Han said. "You're all too shy to say it, so let me, the big mouth, blow this secret out of the water!"
"You little rascal, you're so blunt!" Young Fen said. "But you didn't finish your sentence."
"I'm a man of principle and kindness, or else I'd expose you to everyone's face and ruin the mood."
All her friends suddenly turned their attention to Ai Yu, laughing and teasing.
"Why are you all laughing at me?" Ai Yu asked, blushing.
"Oh, we're just looking around aimlessly. How could we be looking at you specifically? You must be overly sensitive!" Ah Han said casually.
"Don't tease me, or you'll regret it," Young Fen laughed.
"Damn it, damn it! You people are nothing but dogs spitting out nonsense!" Ai Yu said, dragging Ah Han along.
"Hey, Ai Yu, I have a question for you. Don't lie to me." Ah Han said with a grin.
"What question?"
"It's a simple one: Are you and Mei Li an item?"
"What item? I don't understand."
"Then let me speak like a modern person and say it in English: Sweetheart."
"No, I've never loved any man, let alone stealing one from you. Who told you that?"
