Features: This book is one of the series textbooks for construction engineering majors in vocational and technical colleges. It is compiled in accordance with the basic requirements of the Mechanics course for civil engineering majors in higher vocational education under the Ministry of Education. The book selects relevant content from Theoretical Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials, and Structural Mechanics, and appropriately reorganizes and integrates them to ensure a comprehensive understanding, clear theoretical framework, easy-to-understand language, and strong practicality, striving to reflect the characteristics of vocational textbooks. The book is divided into two volumes, totaling five parts and 19 chapters. The first volume contains two parts and nine chapters, including Introduction, Part on Rigid Body Static Analysis: Basic Knowledge of Statics, Plane Concurrent Force Systems and Plane Couples, Plane General Force Systems, and Spatial Force Systems, and the second part on Member Load Capacity Analysis: Internal Forces and Internal Force Diagrams, Geometric Parameters of Plane Figures, Stress and Strength Calculation of Members, Deformation and Stiffness Check of Members, and Stability of Columns. The second volume contains three parts and 10 chapters, including the third part on Static Determinate Structure Analysis: Geometric Composition Analysis of Plane Structural Systems, Internal Force Calculation of Determinate Structures, and Displacement Calculation of Determinate Structures, the fourth part on Static Indeterminate Structure Analysis: Method of Forces, Displacement Method, Moment Distribution Method and Shear Distribution Method, and Approximate Calculation Methods, and the fifth part on Special Topics: Influence Lines, Dynamic Loads, and Basic Principles of Structural Dynamics. This book can be used as a textbook for construction engineering majors in vocational and technical colleges, adult colleges, and among related engineering technicians. The first volume can also be used as a textbook for civil engineering-related majors such as Engineering Survey and Management, Construction Cost Engineering, Building Decoration, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Planning.
