Features: Based on the research conducted by scholars from China and abroad on the relationship between Confucianism and East Asian economic development over the past 30 years, the author of this article believes that there is a close connection between Confucian culture and the rapid economic development of East Asia. This indicates that the path to modernization for humanity is not singular but diverse. Beyond Confucianism, many cultural resources in East Asia can be utilized, and traditional cultures of various countries will play a very active role in diverse modernization. Each country will have a unique modernization model. However, this pluralistic modernization model has been greatly impacted, which is closely related to the rise of U.S. unilateralism. After the "9·11" incident, extensive dialogue among cultures has become even more important. Today, with the rise of East Asia, its role in the global landscape is increasingly significant, and the Eastern spirit within its culture should attract the attention of the international community. In the current cultural axis age, cultural exchange is a prominent feature, and the collision between cultures is inevitable. Only through dialogue and tolerance of others can world peace be maintained. In this regard, East Asia can provide the concept of "harmony in diversity."
