Features: China Times Economic Press decided to publish a book for each of the "Four Evils," compiling their articles and speeches against cults, superstition, and pseudoscience, and invited me to write a preface for this series. The "Four Evils" refer to Yu Guangyuan, He Zexiu, Sima Nan, and Dun Zhengyi. They were labeled as such by those involved in cults, superstition, and pseudoscience activities in anonymous threatening letters because they were fighting on the front lines against cults, superstition, and pseudoscience. Being deemed "evil" by the wicked, from the perspective of defending science, human rights, and society, it is actually "good." The essence of cults is anti-science, anti-humanity, and anti-society. The recent two incidents of "Falun Gong" followers self-immolating fully exposed this essence. That 12-year-old child was not self-immolating—it was being burned! It is particularly important to recognize that "Falun Gong" is not just a cult. "Falun Gong" leader Li Hongzhi has allied himself with foreign hostile forces and opposes the government, growing increasingly distant and escalating. Evidence shows that Li Hongzhi and his group have become a special forces team of domestic and foreign hostile forces attacking our socialist regime, posing a significant threat to social stability. Looking back to summarize lessons learned, we were slow to react; when tens of thousands of people gathered around Zhongnanhai, the situation had already become very serious.
