Features: Cultural globalization, in its fundamental sense, should be the promotion and dissemination of the universality of human culture on the basis of respecting and preserving cultural individuality, and the exchange and integration of culture while maintaining diversity. It is a two-way interaction between cultural diversity and unity. However, in the process of development, cultural globalization is a culturally contradictory trend, with the core contradiction being that between cultural universalism and particularism. This core issue has given rise to two cultural strategies in the practical process: one is the cultural sovereignty strategy, and the other is the cultural hegemony strategy. Globalization has indeed brought many favorable factors to Chinese popular culture, but it has also brought immense pressure. First, it faces strong from foreign popular culture; second, it encounters resistance from Western cultural standards in achieving international development. In the face of this pressure, we must formulate a development strategy for popular culture, handle the relationship between "importation" and "exportation" appropriately, and actively develop socialist popular culture with Chinese characteristics.
