Features: Ouyang Xun, styled Xinyen (557-641), was a renowned calligrapher and calligraphy educator of the Tang Dynasty. He was from Linxiang, Tanzhou (now Changsha, Hunan). He served in both the Sui and Tang dynasties. During the Sui Dynasty, he held the position of Taichang Doctor; after entering the Tang Dynasty, he reached the rank of Yinqing Guangludafu and Daizixiangling, and was known as "Ouyang Shuigeng" and enfeoffed as a Male Marquis of Bohai. In calligraphy, he mastered all eight scripts and was proficient in regular and running scripts.
