Features: The science of TCM fractures is an important part of traditional Chinese medicine and one of the core courses for medical students in TCM universities. With the rapid development of modern industry, agriculture, transportation, and other sectors, the field of TCM orthopedics has become increasingly significant. Its content is not only expected to be broad and deep but also innovative and refined, as only in this way can high-standard, cross-century professionals be cultivated. To meet this need, the National Research Association for TCM Orthopedics Education in Higher TCM Universities organized the establishment of the Editorial Committee and the Review Committee for Science of TCM Orthopedics. Teachers from 18 TCM universities across the country participated in the writing process. Under the direct leadership and guidance of the Higher TCM Universities Orthopedics Education Research Association, all the authors worked diligently for a year and a half, holding four meetings and revising the manuscript multiple times, ultimately completing the book. Based on the fundamental content of the fifth edition of the original Science of TCM Traumatology, this book has been expanded to include bone diseases, enriched with foundational knowledge, making the content more comprehensive. It highlights the characteristics of TCM, incorporates the essence of modern medicine, ensuring the content is up-to-date. It reflects a solid theoretical foundation, emphasizes clinical practice, and focuses on cultivating students' practical operational skills, making it more applicable. The book strives to be systematic, complete, well-organized, clear and concise in language, illustrated with visuals, to meet the needs of modern teaching. This textbook is intended for students in five-year TCM programs, acupuncture and moxibustion programs, tuina programs, and for postgraduate students in orthopedics. It can also serve as a reference for medical professionals in related clinical disciplines.
