Japanese Language Proficiency Test 300 Sentence Patterns: Levels 3 and 4

Author: Zhang Jianhua, Editor-in-Chief

Publish Date: 2004-04-01
Features: This book explores and designs new approaches in the following aspects:
1. It includes all grammar patterns for Level 3 and Level 4 from the "JLPT Test Question Standards" published by the Japan International Education Association in 2002, as well as conjunctions and adverbs that frequently appear in exam questions. This helps learners focus their goals and efforts for exam preparation.
2. The 300 sentence patterns are organized into 26 lessons based on grammatical functions. Each lesson is arranged in the order of Level 4 and Level 3, allowing learners to systematically and effectively master the grammar patterns. Additionally, each lesson is relatively independent, enabling learners to start from any lesson according to their own schedule. The table of contents can also serve as a functional index.
3. For each sentence pattern, as much relevant grammatical and functional information as possible is provided, such as: the connection method of the pattern, corresponding words, sentence types it appears in, as well as stylistic and emotional nuances. Moreover, based on the compilers' years of teaching experience, common errors frequently made by intermediate and advanced learners are pointed out.
4. The explanations of sentence patterns are concise and to the point. Example sentences are primarily everyday expressions, designed to be simple and easy to understand, so learners can grasp them without consulting a dictionary.
5. Each lesson includes comprehensive exercises in the format of the International Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) and 2 sets of level tests. The answers to the exercises are provided at the end of the book for learners to review and assess their knowledge.
6. A synonym differentiation section is included, which provides examples to explain the differences in meaning and grammar between synonyms, thereby enhancing learners' Japanese proficiency and exam skills.
