Features: This book aims to help candidates develop a practical understanding of the essay-based genre through extensive reading and practice exercises, and to cultivate and summarize a set of personalized reading and problem-solving strategies. The key to reading an article lies in grasping its main theme or central idea. When working on past CET-6 full practice tests, we found that out of 20 topics, almost all detail questions, inference questions, and author's perspective questions are closely related to the main idea of the passage. Therefore, firmly grasping the main theme or central idea of the passage is the key to solving difficulties. The method recommended in this book is to carefully study the sentence. Sentences can be categorized into three types: direct statement type, target type, and introductory type. Chapter 1 selects 25 classic practice test passages to effectively train candidates in grasping the main idea; Chapter 2 selects 80 passages from various media in recent years, covering fields such as humanities, law, and natural sciences, arranged in the order of warm-up reading, practical reading, and intensive reading, from easy to difficult, to facilitate candidates' self-assessment.
