Features: The title of this book, if determined by its content, could be called "Yongzheng and His Era"; if judged by its narrative and commentary style, it could also be named "A Biography of Yongzheng"; or other names could also be proposed. To align the title with the content and for simplicity and convention, the current title— "A Biography of Yongzheng" —was chosen. This book not only includes historical materials and narratives about the protagonist Yongzheng but also covers materials and narratives about the institutions, events, and figures of his time beyond his personal life. In other words, it centers on him and explains as much as possible anything related to his activities, with the aim of observing his era through Yongzheng.
