Features: The title of this book is intentionally designed to be misleading. Although I have the honor of receiving the Nobel Prize with my friend and former colleague Harold Wimmer, I have not written a tutorial on how to pursue the Nobel Prize. I could not do so, nor would I want to. On the contrary, I am writing about the Nobel Prize with a certain sense of contradiction, and I do not place much importance on the glamorous decorations that come with it. Michael Bishop is a polymath in literature and poetry, which is rare in the scientific community. More importantly, like his rich life experience, he can remember what he has read and think deeply about it. He fully deserves the Nobel Prize he won. He advocates for scientific research in politics, his insights into cancer and microorganisms are profound, and he dedicates his life to science, all of which provide ample nourishment for his writing.
