Part II introduces the basics of the Internet, the fundamental methods for accessing the Internet, and specific Internet applications—such as browsing the World Wide Web (WWW), sending and receiving email, search engines, BBS, file transfer, and network messaging.
During the writing process, emphasis was placed on moderate theoretical explanations while focusing on practical operations and applications, aiming to achieve a clear, progressive, and accessible presentation. To facilitate learning, the author consistently uses real-world examples throughout the book, which helps readers to practice and apply the knowledge by analogy, enabling them to master the basics of computer networks and Internet applications more quickly. To deepen the understanding of the teaching content, consolidate learning, and improve practical skills, each chapter is accompanied by relevant exercises.
