The words and example sentences included are sourced from the 1995 photolithographic reprint of the Ming-era edition "Jin Ping Mei Ci Yu" published by Wenxue Gujie Chubanshe. Suspected errors have been revised accordingly, with significant changes marked with a △ symbol. The entries primarily focus on colloquial vocabulary, supplemented by archaic or rarely used terms. Common ancient and modern Chinese words are generally excluded. Chengyu, proverbs, colloquial sayings, and lewen are compiled as appendices separately.
