Features: Since Master Bruce Lee, the Hong Kong martial arts legend, founded Jeet Kune Do, it has had a tremendous impact and enjoys a high reputation in the international martial arts community. In recent years, Jeet Kune Do has also experienced vigorous development and widespread dissemination across China, sparking a wave of interest in learning Jeet Kune Do among young people. People can’t help but ask, China is the homeland of Chinese martial arts, with its rich and diverse schools, enough to dazzle and confuse anyone interested in martial arts, making it difficult to decide. Yet why do people still favor Jeet Kune Do, a martial arts discipline that incorporates the essence of Chinese martial arts while also drawing on many techniques from Western boxing? Based on my years of practical experience, Jeet Kune Do ultimately derives from the same great tree of Chinese martial arts, but it differs from traditional Chinese martial arts. In many aspects, it has broken free from the norms and limitations of traditional martial arts, reflecting the progress of the times. Through the study and understanding of Jeet Kune Do, people can still fully grasp the fundamental principles of martial arts. Moreover, the physical training not only equips them with practical combat skills but also enhances both their body and mind. In terms of actual results, Jeet Kune Do stands out among various martial arts styles. Jeet Kune Do does not merely teach people techniques for fitness or combat; it emphasizes pursuing the limits of physical training while delving into deeper spiritual exploration, elevating both the body and the mind. Thus, this martial art becomes a form of artistic discipline in one’s life. Conversely, when people experience new knowledge they have never encountered before during their learning, the passion that bursts forth from deep within them will further integrate this martial art into the trajectory of social life development.
