Features: From the outside, the financial industry appears to be one of large-scale capital flows. However, in reality, the majority of personnel in the financial industry are more engaged in meticulous calculations and weighings. In this sense, I like to quote an English proverb to describe the financial industry: "The devil is in the details, and so is the angel." Economics is the study of practical application, and in-depth research on economic issues requires a profound understanding of economic realities as its foundation. Dr. Ba Shusong has accumulated extensive practical experience in various fields such as banking, securities, and funds, is familiar with the Hong Kong financial market, and has produced a series of reference-worthy interim results, making this book highly recommended.
In terms of content, this collection covers multiple areas of the financial industry, including banking, securities, funds, and regulation. This cross-disciplinary focus primarily took shape in Hong Kong. Before working in Hong Kong, although I had some theoretical involvement in other financial fields, my practical work experience was mainly in banking. After arriving in Hong Kong, my participation in the restructuring and listing of Bank of China (Hong Kong) provided me with concrete and relatively in-depth exposure to securities and funds. Following the restructuring and listing of Bank of China (Hong Kong), I mainly focused on risk management, frequently engaging with regulatory requirements from fields such as banking and securities. This prompted me to begin analyzing trends in financial regulation.
